What is the difference between PEXa, PEXb, and PEXc?

PEXa is produced via the Engel method, offering the highest cross-linking degree (~85%) and the best flexibility and kink-repair memory. PEXb uses the Silane method (~65-70% cross-linking), yielding higher tensile strength and chemical resistance. PEXc relies on physical radiation (~60% cross-linking) for high chemical purity. Minde selects the optimal process based on your application, utilizing PEXa for floor heating and PEXb for high-pressure installations.

Are Minde PP compression fittings compatible with PEX pipes?

Yes. Our PP compression fittings are designed for HDPE (PN16/PN10) outer diameters. When connecting to PEX, you must match the pipe's outer diameter and wall thickness, and use an internal pipe insert (stiffener) to prevent deformation under compression.
