View Technical SpecificationsGreece features a unique geographical topology. With over 6,000 islands, mountainous landscapes, and vast agricultural centers like Thessaly, Macedonia, and the Peloponnese, developing reliable water transport is highly complex. The local pipeline network suffers from several compounding environmental hazards:
Our PP Clamp Saddles represent a modern engineering response, combining high-grade raw polymer compounds with custom-molded elastomeric gaskets (EPDM/NBR) to offer dependable, leak-proof branch connections directly on HDPE conduits.
Every single product is manufactured strictly to EN 12201, ISO 13460, and DIN guidelines to meet European building standards.
| Structural Component | Material Formulation | Hellenic Compliance & Application Scope | Key Performance Indicators |
|---|---|---|---|
| Saddle Body | Polypropylene Block Copolymer (PP-B) | EN 12201 compliance, non-toxic for drinking water networks | Elasticity module > 1100 MPa, highly impact-resistant |
| Reinforcing Ring | Stainless Steel (AISI 430 / AISI 304) | Mandatory for female-threaded branch connections in municipal lines | Prevents radial thread shearing under heavy mechanical torque |
| Sealing Gasket | Elastomeric Nitrile Rubber (NBR) / EPDM | Suitable for agricultural chemicals, fertilizers, and chlorinated water | Shore hardness 70A, maintaining shape memory up to PN16 pressure |
| Bolts & Nuts | Hot-Dip Galvanized / SS 304 Grade | Saltwater corrosion resistant for Greek island installations | Class 8.8 structural strength rating, metric thread layout |
Designed to support up to 1.6 MPa working pressure at 20°C, absorbing intense fluid hammers commonly encountered in rugged pump-start irrigation systems.
Allows municipal installers to tap off existing main HDPE lines without cutting pipes, minimizing system downtime across Greek municipal districts.
Full CE certification ensures our PP clamp saddles meet the strictest safety, environmental, and hygiene requirements within the European Economic Area.
We are Ningbo Minde Building Materials Co., LTD., from Zhejiang Province, China. For over 20 years, we have delivered engineering-grade polymer solutions to the international market.
Spanning an expansive footprint of over 90,000 square meters, Minde maintains an end-to-end modern manufacturing facility designed for absolute reliability and volume scalability. In order to provide households and farms with environmentally friendly, durable pipes and fittings, MINDE strictly utilizes high-quality imported virgin raw materials. We completely reject recycled polymers to ensure every joint and saddle stands up to harsh site conditions.
Authoritative globally certified standards including ISO9001:2022, ISO14001, CE, British WRAS, Russian GOST, and more.
Engineering contractors and wholesale distributors in Greece require products that comply with both municipal safety rules and national drinking water quality standard legislation. Over the last 20 years, Minde products have successfully passed several highly rigorous certifications to guarantee fluid safety:

View Technical SpecificationsFollow these guidelines to prevent common installation errors and ensure a service life of over 50 years.
Ensure the surface of the host HDPE pipe is smooth, clean, and free of defects where the saddle gasket seats. Use a chamfering tool to eliminate sharp edges that could damage the elastomeric NBR O-ring during installation.
Align the O-ring gasket precisely inside the localized groove of the saddle. Incorrect alignment is the leading cause of micro-leaks in low-pressure networks. Never apply petroleum-based lubricants to the gasket, as they can cause the elastomer to swell.
Tighten the bolts diagonally in an alternating pattern. This spreads the mechanical compressive force evenly across the pipe, preventing localized stress cracking. Use a torque wrench to ensure bolts are tightened to recommended specifications.
Perform hydrostatic pressure testing at 1.5 times the intended working pressure before backfilling trenches. Check the branch connections for any pressure drop over a 2-hour monitoring window.
