PN refers to Nominal Pressure (Pression Nominale) in bars. A PN10 rating indicates the fitting is certified to handle working pressures up to 10 Bar (approx. 145 PSI) at standard temperatures. Why is virgin polypropylene preferred over recycled resins for HDPE connections?

How does the internal split-ring mechanic in a PP compression fitting work?
As the outer compression nut is tightened, it pushes an internal polyacetal (POM) clinching ring down a tapered chamber.
