Our PP compression fittings are manufactured using high-impact, virgin Polypropylene Block Copolymer (PP-B), which provides exceptional mechanical resistance to pressure and solar radiation. Our fittings comply with UK WRAS standards for drinking water, meaning they are non-toxic, lead-free, and won't leach chemicals or alter water taste.
PN stands for Nominal Pressure (Pression Nominale), measured in bars. A PN10 fitting is rated for a maximum pressure of 10 bar (approx. 145 PSI) at 20°C, typical for low-pressure field irrigation. A PN16 fitting supports up to 16 bar (approx. 232 PSI), which is standard for main water supply systems, industrial lines, and regions experiencing large pressure spikes.
Minde's OEM service starts with a technical review of the client's CAD drawing or physical sample. Our engineering team assesses polymer flow dynamics and calculates mold shrinkage. Once approved, we build precise high-performance injection tooling in-house. The EVOH (Ethylene Vinyl Alcohol copolymer) layer creates a robust molecular barrier that blocks oxygen from entering the closed heating system. Without this barrier, oxygen molecules seep through the PE-Xa wall, dissolving in the circulating water. This causes oxidation and corrosion in metallic boilers, manifolds, and heat exchangers, leading to system failure.
